As RSU 14 approaches the close of its 2021-2026 strategic plan, the district is already looking ahead – inviting community members to help shape what comes next. Work is now underway on the 2026-2031 plan, and district leaders are launching a broad outreach effort to gather fresh perspectives and set new performance goals that reflect the needs of today’s learners.

Windham Middle School (WMS) Altitude students took a trip to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital to donate books that they had collected on Nov. 25. This is the fourth annual book drive that the Altitude program has done for the Children’s Hospital, and this year, Altitude collected 132 books.

Some call it a calling. For Windham High School teacher Adrianne Shetenhelm, hers began in elementary school, when she proudly told her class she wanted to be a teacher while answering the age-old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Even a joking warning from her teacher – “There’s no money in it” – couldn’t shake a dream she felt to her core.

RSU14's Snow Day Tracker is now available on the district home page under the District Info/RSU14 School Year Calendar tab. It shows the current number of snow days taken and the updated last day of school.

At Jordan Small Middle School (JSMS), teacher Jed Bloom’s science classes no longer end at the classroom door. This fall, sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students are stepping into the woods on district property as part of a pilot outdoor education program that blends science instruction with nature-based exploration, hands-on projects, and plenty of fresh air.

As the days get shorter and colder, the Windham High School (WHS) Grease musical will certainly make you feel warm and energetic.

Being invited to speak at a TEDx Talk is a rare honor, especially at just 17 years old. For Windham High School (WHS) senior Kendra Eubanks, that honor became reality on Saturday afternoon, November 8 at the TEDxDirigo event.
